Columbus O. Shean, highly respected colored gentleman of Charles street, Westminster, died Saturday, September 25, 1948, at University Hospital, Baltimore, shortly after being admitted. He was a son of the late Dennis and Abbie Shean and was aged 92 years. He was employed for many years by the late George W. Albaugh. His wife, Mary Catherine Shean, preceded him in death some years ago.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters:
Mrs. Nettie Thorpes, Philadelphia
Miss Mary A. Shean of Virginia
Percy of Centerville, Md.
Clarence E.
Mrs. Mabel S. Dickerson
Mrs. Laura S. Hughes, all of Westminster.
Burial was in Ellsworth Cemetery near Westminster.
