FISHER, RUTH EDDARDS "MAW MAW"

A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at Golden Age Nursing Home. She was 87, a native of Denham Springs and a resident of Baton Rouge for over 50 years. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 8:30 a.m. Monday until religious service in the chapel at noon, conducted by the Rev. Merlin McCon. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mona Fisher and David Rawls of Pride; three sons, Harold Fisher and companion Eileen Linker, Paul and wife Charlotte Fisher, and Hugh Fisher, all of Baton Rouge; a sister, Libby Eddards of Denham Springs; 10 grandchildren, Michelle Fisher Molina, Missy Fisher Browning, Kirk Fisher, Jeff and Jason Rawls, Kimberly Rawls Baggett, Holly Fisher Richard, Darla Fisher, Krystal Fisher Nawadny and Tricia Fisher; and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Howard B. Fisher; father and mother, Dewitt and Dillie Eddards; and a brother, Eugene Eddards. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kirk Fisher and Jeff and Jason Rawls; a great-grandson, Jeremy Beasley; a nephew, Mike Eddards; and Raymond Fisher. Honorary pallbearers are Barrett Browning, Carlos Molina and Scott Richard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Baton Rouge.
