A. Lynne Raver, 68, of Westminster, died Monday, May 16, 2011, at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore. Born Sept. 19, 1942, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Ethel L. and Woodrow J. Raver. She was a graduate of Westminster High School, class of 1960 and graduated from Baltimore Business College in 1962. She had retired after 30 years with the University of Maryland Cooperative Service in 1995. She had also worked for Rasinsky's Pharmacy, Beacon Steel Products, Robert Tracey Catering and Gist Answering Service. She was the original secretary of Carroll County Symphony Society; the chief judge for the Carroll County Board of Elections; secretary for the Carroll County 4-H and FFA Fair Board; president, secretary, and treasurer of the Venture Club of Westminster; and governor, secretary, and treasurer of the Venture Clubs of America, South Atlantic Region. She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, and spending time with her family and friends. She was also an avid University of Maryland football and basketball fan, as well as, a fan of many other sports. Surviving are brothers and sisters-in-law Stephan W. and Susan K. Raver, of Alpharetta, Ga., and Timothy T. and Mary R. Raver, of Laurel; a nephew Christian T. Raver, of Alpharetta; and nieces Martha S. and Kearny L. Raver, both of Laurel.
