CYRUS SHIREMAN DIES SUDDENLY

Cyrus Walter Shireman, 81, retired banker and farmer, 601 Center street, died yesterday in the Findlay hospital shortly after admittance. He had been downtown Saturday and was not taken ill until yesterday morning.

He was born April 5, 1868, in Highland, Kansas, a son of Jonathan and Catherine Shireman. He moved here in 1892 from Carey.

On June 8, 1918, he married Clara L. Bare who survives. He leaves also two children W.B. Shireman and Mrs. Nancy McManness, both of Findlay; two grandchildren; and six sisters, Mrs. C.D. Sheridan, Carey; Mrs. Jessie Houk, Columbus; Mrs. Frank Skelley, Clearwater, Florida; Mrs. Guy Sutphen and Mrs. Zeita Semler, both of Toledo and Mrs. William Whitney, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.

Mr. Shireman was a member of Masonic lodge No. 227. He received his 50-year pin in March, 1949

He was assistant cashier of the Buckeye Commercial Bank and was appointed receiver when it closed.

The Perry Miles funeral home was in charge of the funeral services. The Rev. G.L. Fleming, pastor of the First E.U.B. church, officiated. Interment in Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.
