Nancy Lorean Ellison Reid
1943 - 2015

Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Nancy Ellison Reid, passed away early Friday morning, June 19, 2015, in her sleep. Nancy was born June 29, 1943, to Frederick Henry Ellison and Lorean Grange Ellison in Provo, Utah. She loved Utah and never wanted to be any other place.

Our mom was baptized a member of The Church Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, when she was eight. She was always so excited because her father, mother, grandfather, and her uncle were all baptized the same day.

Mom met and courted her high school sweetheart, Donald Thomas "Don" Reid Jr. during their junior year. They were married on June 24, 1961. For most of her married life, mom was a homemaker and loved every minute of it. In 1993, mom and our grandma started working for a janitorial company. They worked two or three hours each night and really enjoyed it until our grandma passed away in 1997. Then mom and dad worked the job together until 2003. Mom loved this job, getting out for two or three hours every night and having something to do.

She is survived by her loving husband, Don Reid; her four children: Vickie Reid Martinez, Randy Reid (Beth), Tracy Marks (Jason), all of Provo, and Jenny Reid of Keansburg, NJ; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and half-sisters, Betty Brown and Helen Johnson.
