Henry Adams is the son of CPT Abraham Adams II and Ann Longfellow (Ann is ancestor to Poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Honorable Chief Justice Samuel Sewall); Henry married twice due to the death of his first wife. 1st Marriage: Sarah Mehitable Emery (m. NOV 20 1746) d/o LT John Emery & Mehitable Short.

Henry & Sarah had 7 children:

2nd MARRIAGE: Catherine Gerrish b. NOV 17 1732 Newbury m. MAR 2 1767-8 d. 1827; buried @ Sawyer Hill Burying Ground, Newburyport MA. Catherine married again, after the death of Henry to Benjamin Poore (b. 1718 m. 1777 d. MAR 1817)
