Delmer lived and farmed south of Shelby and was the former owner/operator of Little Red Sled Company. He was a very dedicated man when it came to antique tractors and tractor pulling. He loved spending time with his grandkids even more. Delmer had served on the Shelby School Board, was a member and past commander of the Shelby Legion, member of Faith Lutheran Church and the NATPA.
He is survived by two sons, Rory (Amy) Rathje of Madison, Ind., Shane (Teresa) Rathje of Lincoln; grandchildren, Michael, Mandy, Alec and Rily; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister-in-law Martin and Zelina Rathje and infant brother. Ivan.
