DELCAMBRE – Funeral ervices will be conducted for Mr. Jedeon Sonnier, age 84, at 10:00 am on Monday, August 8, 2016, at Evangeline Funeral Home in Delcambre with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating and Fr. Nathan Comeaux as concelebrant.

Interment at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.

A native and resident of Delcambre, Mr. Sonnier passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016, at Abbeville General.

Born on October 16, 1931 to the late Luc’ andLaurence Sonnier, Jedeon was one of seven children.

He worked as a farmer in his early years before becoming a janitor. Jedeon enjoyed farming, gardening, and playing Bouree’. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his siblings, Ray Sonnier (Joy) and Isabelle S. LaPointe; eight nephews; and ten nieces.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Anna Lee L. Sonnier; parents, Luc’ and Laurence Delahoussaye Sonnier; brothers, Alton Sonnier and Curtis Sonnier; and sisters, Verna Sonnier Istre and Rosabelle Sonnier Dumond.
