A resident of New Iberia, Mrs.Hobbs passed away at 11:38 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2012, at Dauterive Hospital.
Marlene’s joy in live was taking care of her family as well as her beloved dogs.
She is survived by her children Vickie Kinman of Iowa, Melonie Lewis of Indiana, Craig Leonard Hobbs of New Iberia, Tracy Robin and husband, John, of New Iberia; grandchildren Kindel McGuire, Kia McKenzie Saylor, Michelle Hobbs, Aaron Price; great-grandchildren Devon McGuire, Jordan McGuire, Keenan Price, Payton Renee Price; and a son-in-law Byron “Epsy” Price.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Hobbs; parents, Raymond and Hazel Gillespie; daughter Nadine Renee Hobbs Price; sister Donna Gillespie; and brother Ronnie Gillespie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society in Marlene’s name.
