Matt was an avid athlete, excelling in basketball, cycling, and running. One of his greatest athletic accomplishments was the completion of a Half Ironman Triathlon in Greenville, SC. He loved classical music, which prompted him to learn to play the French Horn as an adult.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents. Survivors include his wife, Lou Ann King Peeler of Carrollton; his four children, Noah Peeler, Hannah Peeler, Luke Peeler and Hailey Peeler, all of Carrollton; and a sister, Amy Hillard of Gray, GA.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 11:00 AM from King’s Chapel Presbyterian Church with Pastor Andrew Hendley and Rev. Donald C. Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Macon, Georgia. The family will receive friends Friday, June 26, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel.
