Son of John B. Allen and Elizabeth Herod.
Grandson of William H. Allen(Chickasaw Indian agent) and Mary Chickasaw/Chocktaw
Great grandson of Richard R. Allen and Mary Braxton both died Mississippi.
Brother of Catherine Allen and Uncle to Sorinthia McWhorter Fullilove. He was a prominant citizen of Attala County.
A seasoned veteran of the Civil War, having served with Lee's Army of Northern Virginia. He fought in many major battles of the Civil War. C.S.A Co. B, 13th MS Infantry 1861-1865
