Peru – Warrant Officer James K. AMeigh, 26, Akron, Indiana, was killed in Vietnam June 24.
He was a helicopter pilot with Unit I-4. Air Cavalry Division and was killed when his helicopter was shot down in enemy action.
He entered the service Jan. 3, 1968, and had been in Vietnam since last Jan. 1.
Born April 28, 1943 in Ashland County, Ohio. He was the son of John and Josie (Spring) Ameigh. He was graduated in 1961 from the Akron High School.
Survivors are the parents, who reside in Mountain View, Ark.; seven sisters, and four brothers.
Military services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Sheets Funeral; Home, Akron, with the Rev Roy French officiating. Burial will be in the Akron Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday.
