Survivors other than his wife include three children, Charles Ward McDavid Jr., James Allen McDavid, and Amanda Faye McDavid (Holloway); one sister, Marilyn Kay Pilant; and one granddaughter, Maggie Elizabeth Holloway. Burial will be in the Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Kentucky.
