Peggy Jo Burden, 78, of Iredell, Texas, passed away July 2, 2006, at her residence. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 4, at Rutledge-Jones Funeral Home in Hico, Texas. Services will be at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 5, at First Baptist Church of Iredell, with the Rev. Jerry Dubose and the Rev. Robby Ballew officiating. Burial will be at Fairy Cemetery.
Peggy Jo was born in Dallas, Texas. She married J. W. Burden on November 2, 1946, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Iredell.
She was preceded in death by her husband on August 7, 2001; son, Jim Burden; and brother, Don Fletcher.
Survivors include her daughter, Carla Wilson, of Midlothian; son, Jerry Burden, of Dallas; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill Fletcher and his wife, Lindel, of Irving, and Dan Fletcher and his wife, Anice, of Dallas; other relatives and many friends.
