Ruth was born Dec. 11, 1931 in Penfield, Illinois to the late John J. and Margaret A. (Gordon) Morrissey.
She graduated Schlarman High School in 1949 and went on to get her Bachelor of Education at St. Mary’s College in South Bend, Ind. Ruth spent 20 years with Sisters of the Holy Cross Notre Dame, Indiana and worked as a teacher in the Notre Dame, Indiana area. She then worked in administration at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville for 25 years. Ruth also was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sisters, Agnes (the late Joe) Leemon and Mary Ellen (the late Bill) Harmon and many loving nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by sister, Margaret Aston; brother, John E. Morrissey; nephews, Jack Harmon and Rick Aston; niece, Anne Harmon and great-nephew, John David Harmon.
