Elizabeth Ann Shields Brown was the wife of Benjamin J Brown.
Liza as she was called was born in Mexico. Her father Benjamin F Shields was the son of William B Shields, a planter in Perry County Alabama on the 1850 Census. When the Civil War was eminent, Wm B sold his plantation moved to East Texas, Texas then joined the Confederacy. Wm B moved his family to Mexico, stayed 10 years. Elizabeth and her siblings were born there, after 10 years Wm B moved his family back to South Bexar county, Tx and settled in Positos. The Goins donated land for the Oakley Community Cemetery. They lived out their lives south of San Antonio, Tx
