Born November 5, l930 in Cushing, Oklahoma. Died June 17, 2015 in Hanford, California Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather.

Gene served in the Navy during the Korean War and graduated from San Diego State College in 1957. He worked as an Electronics Engineer for 40 years on projects for the Department of Defense, the Navy, the Air Force, and civilian airports. He lived in San Diego, New York, and Southern California until retiring to Oregon, where he planted a filbert orchard. He retired a second time to Hanford in 1993 with his late wife, Dorothy.

Gene was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Viola Sheridan, his wife, Dorothy, his daughter, Katherine Ann, and his two brothers, Don and Roy. He is survived by his wife, Katherine, his children, Dorlin (Mark) Seaquist, Claudia (Tony) Acierno, Carol (Travis) Steagall, Steven (Thu) Sheridan, Christopher Sheridan, Patricia Beauchamp, and Laura (Kaiser) Holman; and by Katherine's sons, Steven (Maria) Wildes and Grant (Julie) Coffin; 17 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

There will be a Memorial Service at Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Home in Hanford at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, with burial at San Joaquin National Cemetery in Santa Nella at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2015.

The family requests any memorial donations go to the Salvation Army, 380 E. Ivy Street, Hanford,, California 93230.
