Thomas L. West, age 61 of Mt. Juliet, lost a valiant battle to cancer on June 19th, 2015. Born to the late Charles T. and Irene Y. West on July 6, 1953, Tom was a native of Waycross, GA and had lived in Mt. Juliet since 1988. He was a graduate in the class of 1971 at Waycross High School, and was an avid outdoorsman that loved hunting and fishing. He served as an Air Traffic Controller for 28 years and spent 25 of those years at the Nashville (BNA) Airport. Tom was also a member of the Gladeville United Methodist Church in Gladeville, TN.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathryn, three daughters and their husbands, five grandchildren, one brother and his wife, one sister and her husband, mother and father-in-law Richard and Iris and several loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral Services will be Monday, June 22nd in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with interment to follow in the Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.
