Michael and Kate were the parents of four children: Mary H. (Ciska**) Shehan (1879 - 1962), Martin Francis Ciska** (1881 - 1956), Ellen Lovina "Ella" (Ciska**) Donahue (1883 - 1962) and Anna Catherine (Ciska**) Wolf (1885 - 1964).

Michael Ciskey, three miles north of Melrose, was overcome by the heat while in the hayfield last week, from the effects of which he died Saturday and was buried in the cemetery at Stacyville on Sabbath. Father Caddon was with him during his last hours. The deceased left a wife and four children.
NOTE: Michael's death record reflects Typhoid Fever as his cause of death.
