Mrs. Abbie Houk Waddington, aged 60 years, of near Castlewood, passed away at 2 o'clock this morning at New Castle Hospital. She had been ill for some time and her condition became critical about three weeks age.

Abbie was born and raised and spent most of her life in Wayne Township, Lawrence PA. She was the daughter of William and Mary Melissa Lessnet Houk. She married Seth Waddington on November 30, 1907 and he died in 1933. She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church and was well liked and esteemed by many friends and relatives.

Survivors included her mother, Mrs. Mary M. Houk, Ellwood City-New Castle road; two daughters, Mrs. Melvin Crawford, Wayne Township and Mrs. Archie Dewberry, New Castle: three sisters, Mrs. Tessie Beltz, Mrs. Margaret Adams, and Mrs. Stella Kennedy; and seven brothers, William, Fred, Harry, Charles, Raymond, Joseph and Walter Houk.

Funeral serviced were held on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Harmony Baptist Church and interment followed in the church cemetery.
