Mary Winifred (Warner) Boyd was born on April 3, 1926 in Nashville, Tennessee, the daughter of James Michael Warner (1897-1973) and Mary Elizabeth (Brady) Warner (1897-1979).

She was married on October 12, 1946 in Holy Name Catholic Church in Nashville to John Joseph Boyd Sr (1923-1978), the son of William Mitchell Boyd (1874–1956) and his 2nd wife Annie G (Petty) Boyd (1890–1942).

Retiring after being a Metro school bus driver for 26 years, she also enjoyed 20 years as a Grand Ole Opry hostess and tour guide.

Still a resident of Nashville, Mary was 89 years old when she passed peacefully on June 19, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her son John "Jackie" Boyd Jr and by her daughter Jean Marie Boyd, while survivors included a son; five daughters and four sons-in-law; a married sister; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four 2nd-great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass was held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, and burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
