Mr. Andrew "Andy" Burkeen, age 59, of Dexter, Kentucky, died Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Baptist Health Paducah in Paducah, Kentucky.

Mr. Burkeen was born on December 19, 1955 to the late Robert Lee Burkeen and Eura Nell Jones Burkeen. He was a farmer and a truck driver and a member of the Brooks Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Janeen Elizabeth Thorn Burkeen, to whom he married on February 1, 1980 at Brooks Chapel United Methodist Church; two sons, Richard Burkeen and wife Susan of Dexter, Kentucky and Shane Burkeen of Dexter, Kentucky; two sisters, Lola Dick and husband Eugene of Dexter, Kentucky and Shelda Keeling and husband James of Dexter, Kentucky; one grandchild, Ella Kate Burkeen of Dexter, Kentucky; one sister-in-law, Kathran Newsome of Golo, Kentucky; step-mother -in-law, Mary Thorn of Dexter, Kentucky; one niece and four nephews; as well as several great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2015 at the Brooks Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert McKinney, Rev. Sam Chambers, Rev. Jason Jones and Rev. Cortez Merell officiating. Burial will follow in the Brooks Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2015 from 5-9 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held at the Brooks Chapel United Methodist Church on Monday, June 22, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until funeral hour.
