VINCENNES, Ind. -- Peggy Eaton, 71, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999, at Good Samaritan Hospital.

She retired in 1994 as nursing supervisor at Good Samaritan Hospital.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, the Knox County Sewing Guild, Town and Country Home Economics Club and Caring Hearts.

She was a 1946 graduate of Lincoln High School and a 1949 graduate of the Good Samaritan School of Nursing.

Surviving are her husband, Robert; two daughters, Kathleen S. Sternal of LaFayette and Jennifer M. Bilskie of Vincennes; two sons, Thomas G. of Olympia, Wash., and Mitchell J. of Vincennes; two sisters, Anne Wright of Anderson and Sharon Jackson of Portland; a brother, John Carter Jr. of Vincennes; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Services will be at 10 a.m. EST Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a vigil service at 5 p.m., at Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home.
