A Celebration of Life Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015, at SpiriTrust Lutheran Home at Kelly Village, 750 Kelly Drive, York, with Chaplain Hank Steinhilber and Dr. Larry B. Hostetler officiating.
A graveside service will be 3:30 p.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Springettsbury Twp. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, is in charge of arrangements.
Born January 27, 1918, in York, Loraine was a daughter of the late Charles and Mabel (Rauhauser) Diehl.
A loving homemaker, she was devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren.
She was dedicated to giving help to others.
For many years she taught Sunday School, wrote poetry, and won 1st Place at York County's Senior Spelling Bee.
She was a graduate of Thompson Business College.
Mrs. Diehl is survived by four children, Donald C. Diehl and his wife, Jacqueline of Dyer, Ind., Kenneth R. Diehl and his wife, Cynthia of Durham, N.C., Marion L. Hostetler and her husband, Larry of Phoenix, Ariz., and Richard, L. Diehl and his wife, Lindsay of Beverly, Mass.; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Maynard Diehl, and one sister, Berneda Bahn.
