Adah Cartier

Services for Adah Cartier will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 19, 2009 at St. Stephens Episcopal Church with Chaplin Royce Brown and The Reverend Leigh Earle officiating. Entombment will be at Highland Cemetery.

Ada Elizabeth Cottman Cartier, age 90, was born on September 25, 1919 in Casper, Wyomjing, the daughter of Frederick and Adah Turner Cottman. She died November 8, 2009 in Casper, Wyoming. She fought a long battle with dementia. Adah graduated from NCHS in 1938 and then attended Dominican in San Rafael, California and the University of Wyoming.

She was a member of various organizations, including Daughters of the Revolution, in which she was an Honorary State Regent, Colonial Dames, Natrona County Pioneers, Daughters of the Nile and several others. She was very active!

Survivors include her daughter. She is also survived by her much beloved God Grandson of San Diego, California and her cat Oliver.

She was preceded in death by her son, Maurice (Fritz) Carteir; husband Maurice P. Cartier and sister Frances Lavery.
