Robert H. Andrews, age 96, of Rice Lake, WI, died Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Woodstone Senior Living in Rice Lake.

He was born on June 24, 1918 in Chippewa Falls, WI to Harry and Martha (Barnaske) Andrews. Bob graduated from the Rice Lake High School in 1936. He entered the United States Army in 1940 and served during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1945 from the 32nd Division of Infantry Company D. He was married to Alice Kruger on December 29, 1952 in Chisago City, MN. Bob worked as a mechanic at the Chrysler / Dodge garage in Rice Lake and also was a builder for Steel Buildings and worked for many sub contractors in the area.

Bob loved to can food and garden, and loved to travel to California and Florida.

Bob Andrews is survived by many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Andrews; his parents, Harry and Martha Andrews; a brother, Stan Andrews; and a sister, Helen Zimmerman.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI; with interment in Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake where Military Rites will be accorded by the Rice Lake Veterans Center Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 10 - 11 AM Wednesday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals.
