Marie was the daughter of Dominique and Marguerite Seguin-Laderoute. She married Moses Pratt May 25, 1876. Marie and Moise were paternal cousins. Both their mothers were in fact sisters. Maize died at the home of her daughter Margaret Jeannette in Detroit and her remains were brought back to Windsor for burial.
