CALDWELL — James Louis Leeper, 77, of West Belmont street, Caldwell, died Sunday at his home following an extended illness.
Mr. Leeper was born Aug. 4, 1882, in Benton county, Mo., and moved to Chillicothe, Mo., when a child and then moved to Powersville, Mo., as a youth, farming in that vicinity. He was married to Catherine Studabaker March 2, 1904, and in 1914 the family homesteaded near Columbus, Mont., coming here in 1938. He was later married to Cordelia Ecton in 1944 in Caldwell. Mr. Leeper was a member of the United Brethren Church of Powersville.
Survivors include four sons, 'Willis of Riggins, Donald of Middleton, Bill of McCall and Les Leeper of Mountain Home; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Davidson of Baldwin Park, Calif., Mrs. Dorothy Ferrero of Butte, Mont., and Mrs. Mabel Kammeyer of Caldwell; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
The Flahiff chapel will announce services.
