Elisabeth Felizitas Cary, 94, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 25, 2020. Elisabeth was born on June 28, 1926, in the German part of Sudetenland, Jechnitz, Czechoslovakia. She is the daughter of the late Josef and Maria (Radl) Paul. Elisabeth met her late husband, Glenn Arthur Cary while working as a switchboard operator at the Munich Military Post and they were married in Dorfin, Germany on July 22, 1950. He preceded her in death in 2003. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Judy Cary and Richard and MariJo Cary; grandchildren, Kristin Cary, Melissa (Michael) McCartney and Lindsay (Matthew) Ross; great-grandchildren, Mason and Maddox McCartney; one sister-in-law, Juanita Himes; and many special nieces and nephews. Elisabeth worked at the Base Exchange store as a Revlon representative. She loved gardening, canning and reading, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. A private graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park Chapel.
