Eldest son of Christian S. Forney and Christianna Noftsinger. Moved from Ohio to Indiana with his parents at age 19 (approx. 1841). Moved to Butler Co, Iowa in 1856, where he farmed 560 acres. Married x 3: 1. Rebecca Prince, 2. Agnes Burns, 3. Kate Keller. He had a total of 9 children from his first 2 wives. Moved to California in 1896. Buried in Santa Monica per his death notice in the L.A. Herald. Assuming this is the Ballona Cemetery, now known as Woodlawn.
