Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Lou Rudd, 84, will be today at 2:30 p.m. in the Lone Oak Methodist Church. Burial will be at Forest Park in Greenville.

Mrs. Rudd, a resident of Lone Oak since 1934, died Monday night in a Leonard nursing home.

Born Feb. 21, 1886, in Tennessee, she was the daughter of George W. and Mary Lou Oliver Briggs. She was married to J.H. Rudd of Lone Oak.

Survivors include one son, Pete Rudd of Garland, one sister, Mrs. Esther Willis of Lone Oak, two brothers, Dewey Briggs of Point, Lester Briggs of Greenville, one stepbrother, Tilton Rudd of Dallas, two step sisters, Mrs. Flora Spencer of Greenville and Mrs. Pearl Mann of McKinney.

Her husband, two children, six brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The Rev. Charles Hart and the Rev. Francis Sale of Lone Oak will officiate at the rites.
