Mr. William David Chennault

Jackson

Mr. William David Chennault, 97, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015 at the VA Community Living Center in Jackson. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Monday, June 15, 2015 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mr. Chennault was born in Attala County, MS on November 18, 1917 to the late Jesse and Clinnie Chennault. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Jackson. He was an avid carpenter and gardener .

He was preceded in death by his wife, Oza Chennault; eight brothers and one sister; step mother, Alice Chennault.

He is survived by his son, Jesse "Tom" Chennault; sisters, Joan Johnston and Nan Wabblington; grandchildren, David Chennault, Jr. (Lynn), Adam Chennault, Brittany Durbin (Matt), Courtney Copeland (Stephen); and 6 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all of the staff at the VA Community Living Center and a special thanks to Dr. Peele, Dr. Warren, Nell and Tonya. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church: 1390 N State St, Jackson, MS 39202 or French Camp Academy: 1 Fine Pl, French Camp, MS 39745.
