Wanie was born on March 24, 1934 in Nashville, Georgia to C. Eston and Merse Bennett Luke.
She is preceded in death by her husband Glenn L., parents, and beloved granny "Miss Molly."
She was married to an Air Force Officer, and really enjoyed traveling and meeting new friends. Friends meant so much to her, and she never met an animal that she did not love.
She is survived by her daughter Molly Townsend and her husband Jeff, son Ross Moore and his wife Sarah, and grandchildren: Lee and Katie Townsend, and Luke and Emma Moore. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 10:30AM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd. in San Antonio, TX.
In lieu of flowers donation can be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, or to The Humane Society of your choice.
