BOSSIER CITY, LA - Ron was born August 3, 1940, in Roxton, TX and was one of six children. Ron went to be with our Lord and Savior on June 12, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence James and Mattie Lou Adams, brother Cleve James Adams, daughter Stephanie "Kaye" Adams, his beloved wife of fifty years and mother to his children Sydney "Syd" Adams, and his two beloved pet boxers Miss Coco Delight and Pepper Ann.

Ron is survived by his loving wife Susan Ward Adams, his children Rhonda Adams, Christopher Adams and wife Teresa, Daryl Adams and wife Regina, Shannon Walls and husband Chad, and Sommer Graham and husband Marshall. Step daughters Amy Bartley and husband Daniel and Mia Sikes and husband Greg. Grandchildren, Brittany Magar and husband Jason, Jason Milano and wife Amber, Casey Adams, Christina Adams, Cody Adams, Darrell Poirier, Ayden Carman, Gibson Graham, Christin Poirier, Megan Giglio, Kaliegh Everett, Madeline Everett, Ryne Everett and arriving August 2015, Jobe Adams Graham. Great grandchildren, Nathan Magar, Emma Magar, Michael Magar, Vincent Milano, Caedan Poirier, and Kalie McGlothlin. Brothers Larry Adams and wife Shirley, Robert Adams and wife Carole; sisters Judy Jones, Mary Lou Tyson and husband Larry, and sister in law June Adams.

Ron was married to Syd for fifty years and 8 months. She passed on Ron's 70th birthday, August 3, 2010. Together they had six children. In 2011 God gave Ron Susan; they were married for four years in which they loved each other and enjoyed so many things together. Ron was a retired Chief Warrant Officer "CWO4" in the United States Army; he served proudly for twenty-two years. After his military career, Ron was involved in many business endeavors as well as giving back to his community. His passion was finding ways to make the lives of children in his community better. He truly took to heart one of his favorite scriptures which was Psalms 127:3, "Children are a gift from God, they are a reward from Him." His work on earth was to glorify God and he did that through his community service and service to our Lord as a deacon at Summer Grove Baptist Church.

The Following is to honor Ronnie "Ron" Lee Adams; the visitation will be held at Hillcrest Memorial in Haughton, Louisiana on Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Summer Grove Baptist Church in Shreveport on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. followed by graveside at Hillcrest Memorial in Haughton.

Serving as Pallbearers are Bill Long, Paul Ibilings, Vernon Henson, Larry Ramsey, Don Smith, Gard Wayt, and Malcolm Stadtlander. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Long's Sunday school class.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Caddo Career Center Scholarship Foundation in memory of Ron Adams.
