Virginia grew up in Fordyce, Arkansas, and after exemplary high school achievements, she attended and graduated from Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas. She then worked her entire professional career (30+ years) at Exxon Mobil Corporation in Houston. She somehow managed to have a very successful and productive career as a petroleum reserves supervisor while simultaneously raising a family of three rambunctious children. She will be remembered for her love of family and education making sure each of her children and grandchildren had a college degree. She was a kind, gracious lady, an avid gardener and loved her dog Prince.
A graveside service will be held at a Forest Park Funeral Cemetery on Saturday, June 12, 2013 at 3 PM.
