Darrell Cosgrove BRIGHAM CITY - On Thursday June 11, 2015 the love of our lives, our husband, father, grandfather, and dear friend, Darrell Charles Cosgrove, 78 returned to live with our Heavenly Father. Darrell was born on November 28, 1936 in Brigham City, Utah the son of Alice Pulsipher Cosgrove. He attended Lincoln Elementary and Box Elder Jr. High and High Schools. Darrell served in the Utah National Guard, worked at the American Sports Wear Company and the Brigham City Post Office. Throughout his 42 year career at the post office, Darrell made many wonderful friends, by giving of his time, service and generosity. There wasn't a day that would go by, but which Darrell would buy someone stamps or reach in his pocket for a $20.00 dollar bill to help out a family until a paycheck was delivered. His office was a popular place to be especially for the little ones, as there was always a candy treat to be given. Darrell married his sweet heart, Janet Abel on April 1, 1955 and their love was sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Temple. Darrell's faith and knowledge of the Gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was strong. His favorite calling was that of teaching Sunday School to the Youth. He also served as a Home Teacher, a Stake Missionary and a temple worker in the Logan Temple. Darrell was passionate about his family. Spending time with them brought his greatest joy. He is survived by his loving wife Janet, sons: David Darrell, William Scott (Sharon), Robert Dewey (Tina), eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also brothers: Michael (Ruth), Joe (Gail), John (Kim). Preceded in death by his mother Alice, sister Alice George, brother James and great grandchild Peter Levi Leavitt. Funeral services will be on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Brigham City 3rd Ward, 203 W. 200 N., Brigham City, UT. Friends may call on Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S., 100 E., Brigham City and on Monday from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the Church.
