Achille (George) Bechard, 48, a former Trojan, died in City Hospital at Newark, N.J. yesterday of stab wounds in the abdomen.
Bechard, known to friends as George Bechard, was born in Cohoes and resided there for twenty years. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church while living there.
A painter by trade, he had lived in Newark about ten years.
His widow, formerly Alice Bernier; two daughters, Miss Norma Bechard Apple and Miss Elaine of Troy; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Bernier and Miss Laura Bechard, both of Cohoes; two brothers, Fred Bechard of Cohoes and Frank Bechard of Rochester, and several nieces and nephews survive.
