William Reid Price, 88, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015 surrounded by his family at his residence.
He was born in Gastonia, son of the late William Neely and Beulah Mae Price. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Price Abell.
Reid was in sales and service, retiring from NAPA. He was a member of Lowell Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Lions Club. He enjoyed square dancing, and was a US Army veteran of WWII.
Survivors include his cousins, Geraldine Rikard, Sidney Farrar, Sue Aldridge, Stella Hobdy, Joel Farrar, Geraldine Propst, and Bessie Barrett.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 10:00 am til 11:00 am at Lowell Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 am in the Sanctuary of Lowell Presbyterian Church with Reverend Joseph Taber and Dr. Clayton Burch officiating. Interment will follow in Gaston Memorial Park.
