He married (Mrs) Angeline Barnes in Peoria on 25 Feb 1862. In 1870, the family consisted of David and Angeline, plus daughters: Susan (1855), Clara (1856), and Edith (1863). In 1880, David and Angelina lived with son, Adolph (1863). Oddly, Adolph is written over another name, and "daughter" is crossed off and replaced with "son". David worked as a laborer.
