Naomi Ruth (Handley) Gibbs McLemore, 73, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at her home.

Naomi was born in Evansville, Indiana on November 1, 1941 to the late Arby and Alice (Claridge) Handley. She was a faithful member of Metro Christian Center and had worked at Shane's Uniform, Flexsteel and Whirlpool. Naomi went on to retire from Buehler's Buy Low after many years of working in the deli. She enjoyed both vegetable and flower gardening, bird watching, fishing, playing cards and singing at the nursing homes with the Bold Witnesses For Christ.

Naomi is survived by her husband of 4 years, Darrell McLemore; daughters, Michelle F. (Gibbs) Dill and Deanna Gibbs; son, Donald Gibbs, all of Evansville, IN; brother, Ron (Linda) Handley of Chandler, IN; grandchildren, Andrea Dill, Allison Gibbs, Joshua Gibbs and Matthew T. Thompson; great-grandchildren, Lucas Gibbs and Amelia Kirsch.

Naomi is preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Gibbs; brother, Edgar Handley; and by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN, 47711 with Pastor Ken Raymes officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home on Saturday.
