Born March 17, 1920 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Passed away peacefully on June 7, 2015 in Folsom, California surrounded by his loving family. Preceded in death by his parents John and Amelia Klamm; brothers Ed, John and Delbert; sisters Esther, Lillian, Lidia, Helen and Frances; and daughter Norma. Devoted husband of 55 years to Dorothy; cherished father of Mark (Dawn) Klamm, Nancy Buren, John (Dawn) Klamm and Ralph (Dodie) Yerxa. Loving Grandpa to Matt & Megan Buren, Tyler Hutchings, Nick & Shyanne Klamm, Jenny (Tim) Oliver and Scott Yerxa; and great-grandchild Kaya Oliver.

A proud veteran of WWII and the Korean conflict, having served in campaigns in Normandy, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. A recipient of the Bronze Star and other medals. Alvin retired from the U.S. Air Force after 32 years of serving our country. He retired from the Stationary Engineers Union Local 39 in 1985.

Alvin loved carpentry and enjoyed working around his house. He never missed a Little League game and was a big Raiders and A’s fan. He will truly be missed and forever in our hearts."
