Harold was born on September 12, 1925 in Doddridge County, WV a son of the late Harley and Norma Swiger. He retired from Hope Natural Gas Company in Morgantown, WV after 37 years of service. Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Harold is survived by five children, Harold Swiger Jr. and wife Karen of Rivesville, WV, Michael Swiger of Racine, OH, Patty Carpenter and husband Delmas of Sycamore, PA, Darrell Swiger and wife Terry of Mineral Wells, WV, Willard Swiger and wife Wilma of Core, WV, twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Rosa Marie Edgell.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Bernard Swiger, one daughter-in-law Lura Swiger, and one granddaughter Hillary Dawn Swiger.
Family and friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Olive Cemetery, Pentress, WV.
