Robert "Bob" Lee Felfe, 84, of Spicewood, Texas, died June 5, 2015 quietly at home after many months, from congestive heart failure and pulmonary edema. Viewing will be at 10 a.m., with funeral service at 11 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2015, at Spicewood Baptist Church. Burial with Military Honors will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, June 15, 2015, in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.

Bob was born in Thorndale, Texas, to the late William and Ellanora Darnbusch Felfe, the seventh of eight children. He served in the United States Air Force for four years as a Staff Sergeant. He then married his "kitten", Jean Jones Felfe, and they had four children, whom they raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He made his career with the United States Post Office where he worked for 27 Years. Bob was a well-loved member of the Spicewood Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and Custodian.

Although he struggled with stuttering due to a childhood injury, he played guitar and sang with ease in a local band called "Spicewood Over the Hillbillies". He earned the nickname of the Spicewood Mel Tillis.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jean; and his oldest son, Hank Lee Felfe.

Survivors include his daughter Jeanne Marie Felfe and her partner Greg Stricker; sons, Michael Ray Felfe, and Steven Roy Felfe and wife, Kate; grandchildren: Gregory West Jones, Justin Kyle Boyd, Rebecka Marie Felfe, and Kaylea Dawn Felfe.
