Final rites were held in the Schaetter's Funeral Home Thursday, September 9, 1948, at 8:30 a.m. and at 9:30 a.m. in the Catholic Church at Harper for Mrs. Anton Esquell, nee Emma Roeder.
The Rev. Fr. A. Gitter officiated in the last rites. Interment was made in the Catholic Cemetery at Harper.
At the time of her death Mrs. Esquell had attained the age of 63 years, 9 months and 7 days.
She succumbed at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mrosek in the Harper community on Wednesday, September 8, at 9:15 a.m.
Mrs. Esquell was born on December 31, 1884 the daughter of John and Mary Leyendecker Roeder. On December 31, 1906, she was united in marriage with Anton Esquell.
Survivors include three sons, Henry, Elgin and Joe Esquell, Two daughters, Thekla, Mrs. Joseph Mrosek, Louise, Mrs. Joe Heineman, 12 grandchildren and following brothers and sisters: Joe, Chas. and Jacob Roeder; Mrs. Joe Maimer, Mrs. Willie Peter and Mrs. Willie Klein.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who died December 4, 1927; and two sisters, Mrs. Chas. Klein and Mrs. Barnie Michon.
