Mrs. Allie Bevers O’Neal, age 68 years died at her home, eight miles southwest of Bloomington, Friday evening, March 14; at 4:30 p.m. Death followed an illness of three weeks of pneumonia. Mrs. O’Neal was born in Owen Township Oct 27, 1878, to John and Mary Wess Weddle, both deceased. In 1894 she was married in Brownstown to Oliver Bevers, who preceded her in death. On May 6, 1946, she was married at Kirksville to Jesse O’Neal, who survives. Surviving besides the husband are four sons and two daughters: Mrs. Harley Mikels, of Kurtz; Lloyd Bevers, of Clearspring: Charles Bevers and Mrs. Mamie Fish, both of Norman rural route; Joe Bevers, of Seymour; Ross Bevers, of Cortland. One brother, Riley Weddle of Ewing, Rural route, and several grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted at the Kurtz Nazarene Church. Monday afternoon at 1:30 in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Mr. McFarland. Burial in the Kurtz Masonic Cemetery.
