James A. Logan, 89, died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at Methodist Medical Center.

Born March 29, 1911, in Robinson to P.S. and Anna Amanda Beam Logan, he married J. Victoria Abel on Sept. 5, 1939, in Davenport, Iowa. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Stephen (and Linda), John, and James Jr. (and Debra); two daughters, Susan (and Rich) Harris and Mary (and Stan) Crowl; and one sister, Mary (and Kenneth) Mills.

His parents; his stepmother, Kathryn Logan; and one sister preceded him in death.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

He worked for Fleming Potter, retiring as a production manager and vice president.

Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
