Life's Work/Service/Interests: On the February 7, 1958, she married Lamar Reynolds. Their marriage was blessed with three children, two daughters and a son: Carrilyn (Carrie), Charles and Marleen (Marty). Valeen lived a life of selfless service; thinking of others always came first in her life. She was willing to help anyone at any time. She had many talents which touched countless lives. She was crafty and always had something made to give to people. She was an accomplished seamstress. Children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many others have been the recipients of the beautiful embroidery work she did. If that wasn’t enough, she was always baking and making goodies. She was often asked to make her famous cinnamon rolls or potato salad. She loved the Lord and served in many callings in the LDS Church. She served in the Primary, Relief Society, and as Ward Librarian with many of her dear friends. She had a strong testimony of the gospel and the power of prayer. Throughout her life, she relied on prayer to guide, help and bring comfort to herself, her family and countless others. A heart of gold stopped beating when Valeen Adams Reynolds passed from this life on June 2, 2015. She was 77.
Survived By: Her husband, Lamar; her three children: Carrilyn Hamilton, Salem; Charles (Dianna) Reynolds, West Valley City; and Marleen Higham, Richmond, Utah; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Norman Homer, Dee (Nola) Adams, Naomi (Darrel) Shepard, Stanley (Peggy) Adams, Kenneth (Sue) Adams, many nieces and nephews and her two dear friends, Leola Butler and Ellen Star.
