Porter Pointers
Died, at the residence of his parents, on Twenty Mile Prairie, Aug. 18, 1895, Charles Wolf, aged 27 years, 8 months and 5 days. Deceased was taken down with typhoid fever a week previous to his death, and now the whole family, six in number, are down with the same ailment, and one of the boys is in critical condition. The doctors in attendance say the sickness is caused from bad water. The water supply is drawn from a tubular well which was put down about a year ago, and is 40 feet deep. The doctors have ordered all water drawn from it to be boiled before using. The funeral was held Tuesday, Aug. 20, the funeral service being conducted at Hobart. Deceased was a Forester, and that order attended in a body. The funeral was a very large one, as the young man was well-known and highly respected. He was unmarried, but was engaged to an estimable young lady, and was soon to be married.
