HANOVER Annabelle R. (Jacobs) Meckley, 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at the Hanover Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late George M. Meckley.

Born March 1, 1921, in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Roy G. and Mollie (Sterner) Jacobs. Annabelle graduated from Eichelberger High School Class of 1939 and was a longtime member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

Annabelle is survived by her son, Mark A. Meckley and his wife Denise of Abbottstown; one granddaughter, Penny Bentzel and her husband Jeffrey of Hanover; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Annabelle was preceded in death by a sister, Dollie Neiderer.

A service to celebrate the life of Annabelle will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Kathryn Schroeder officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
