Bill R. Moss, 84, of Chattanooga, TN, went to be with the Lord on June 3, 2015.
He was born on February 18, 1931 to the late William Charlie Moss and Mary Vinnie Jernigan.
Bill attended school at Central High school, Freed Hardman University, and graduated from the
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
He served his country in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer during the Korean War.
Bill retired from Combustion Engineering of Chattanooga, TN, and then from Arnold Engineering in Tullahoma, TN. He was an active member of Ridgedale Church of Christ and East Brainerd Church of Christ.
Mr. Moss was preceded in death by his son, David A. Moss; sisters, Bernice Peden, Eunice
Woodall, Edna Broyles and brothers, Linueal Moss, Charles Moss, John Moss and James
Moss.
Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Chiquita Colleen Vickery Moss; daughter, Heather O’Shields; son, Scott Moss; sister, Diana Huntoon; five grandchildren, Todd and Nicole Moss, Ielana Mavis, Claire and Paige Moss and two great-grandchildren, Tristen and Alex.
Graveside Services will be held Monday June 8, 2015 at 2:30 pm at the National Cemetery with Chuck Davidson, Don Davidson, Buddy Martin, Stan Cope, Steve Grubb and Jerry Harper serving as pallbearers. Following the funeral, the family will receive friends at East Brainerd Church of Christ, 7745 East Brainerd Road.
